DES’s New English Medium School, Shaniwar peth, Pune is affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board and offers education up to Std. X. The school encompasses Nursery, Pre-primary, Primary, and Secondary sections, and is officially recognized by the Department of Education, Government of Maharashtra, operating on a ‘No grant-in-aid’ basis. The Primary section of the school caters to students from Std. 1st to Std. 7th. This section operates in both morning and afternoon shifts, ensuring flexibility in learning schedules while supporting the holistic development of young learners. 

The campus is enriched with a range of excellent facilities, including a well-maintained playground amidst lush greenery, the historic Lady Tata Hall, a well-stocked library, and dedicated spaces such as a music room, science-math and computer laboratories, a spacious auditorium, and an art room, all designed to foster holistic learning and development. 

History of School
Guided by the principle "Unity is strength," Deccan Education Society stands as a prominent institution, dedicated to fostering growth and unity. Like a majestic banyan tree, this organization has extended its branches across various locations. In Pune alone, it encompasses several schools, with DES standing out as the only English medium institution. As the sole English medium school within the organization, it garnered significant interest from parents, eager to secure admission for their children. In response to this demand, many parents proposed the establishment of an additional English medium school. In light of this suggestion, the governing body of the organization engaged in thorough deliberation and passed a resolution to create a new educational institution. As per the resolution, the institution’s education committee promptly established a new school in 2009, named New English Medium School. The school initially started with a small number of students but has rapidly grown and continues to expand steadily.
