At N.E.M.S. School, Shaniwar Peth, a session titled 'Kali Umalatana' (Blossoming Bud) was organized for the girl students of Std. 5th to 7th of both shifts, on behalf of Ayurved Vyaspeeth, Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. Vaidya Shweta Karambelkar and Vaidya Pradnya Dalvi were the resource persons for this session.

Under this topic, the physical and psychological changes that occur in a girl from birth to adolescence were explained clearly with various examples. Topics like body structure, the menstrual cycle and daily diet according to it, importance of exercise, care to be taken - personal hygiene, the adverse effects of various media and advertisements, etc., were explained very simply through a PPT presentation.

The students were given a message to not get carried away by the infatuation felt during adolescence, to keep control over the mind without crossing limits, to focus on their own goals while enjoying healthy friendship and pure companionship, and to cultivate hobbies like learning various arts and reading.

At the end of the session, the girl students asked questions openly and got their doubts cleared.

Along with the students and teachers, some parent representatives were also present for the session.

The entire session was conducted under the guidance of the school's Principal, Smt. Hemangi Deshmukh.
