Excitement ran high at Deccan Education Society’s N.E.M.S. School as our talented students hosted a spectacular 'Skill Exhibition' (Kaushalya Melava) as part of their vocational education program! The event kicked off with a grand inauguration by our respected guests.

Over the first term, our bright sparks from Classes 6 and 7 dived into amazing projects divided into three fun categories: nature-based, materials and machines, and human services. From creating miniature habitat gardens and making festive kits to mastering fireless cooking, macrame weaving, and event management, the kids learned it all!

The exhibition was the grand finale where the children put their new skills to the test by setting up their own shop counters. The 'Festive Kit' stalls were a huge hit, filled with beautifully hand-painted diyas, traditional clay pots, vibrant OHP sheet rangolis, and incense stands. Shoppers also loved the gorgeous handmade macrame keychains and bookmarks. To top it all off, the food zone kept everyone energized with mouth-watering sandwiches, crunchy matki bhel, papdi chaat, panipuri, and refreshing drinks!

This wonderful initiative was designed to teach our children the value of hard work, self-reliance, teamwork, and the basics of running a business. There is no better confidence booster than watching someone buy something you created with your own two hands!

The hands-on marketplace taught students invaluable real-world lessons: how to calculate costs and profits, how to set up an eye-catching display, and how to work smoothly in a team.

The best news? Every single item was completely sold out! The incredible response left our young creators absolutely thrilled. A huge thank you goes out to our wonderful parents, whose fantastic support made this day possible.

Our school management and proud parents showered the event with praise for bringing out the very best in the children. Visitors were also treated to a walk through the stunning habitat garden grown entirely by the students.

A big round of applause to our dedicated teachers and the student event management team who worked tirelessly under the wonderful guidance of our Primary Section Principal, Mrs. Hemangi Deshmukh, to make this event a roaring success!
